Karl Chip Seman, Esq. recently spoke with PIX-11 New York on representing Michael Deangelo, who is being accused of killing four members of a family after crashing into their car at high speed. More specifically, Deangelo is facing charges of aggravated vehicular homicide, manslaughter, assault, driving while intoxicated with drugs, and reckless driving.
Seman states that Deangelo is not necessarily criminally liable, and describes how he was emotionally affected by the incident. He explains, “When he was arrested, it was the first time that he’d learned about the fatalities here, and he sobbed…During his hospital arraignment, all he did was sob. He is heartbroken.”
Seman goes on to request that there be no rush to judgment. Rather, he says that toxicology tests and the traffic crime investigators’ conclusion on Deangelo’s speed at the time of the accident should be looked at skeptically.
